Die letzten Tage der Menschheit (graduation project) Vienna 2006

This is the graduation
project to my Magister
studies at the university of
applied arts in Vienna.
A series of eight A0 posters
illustrating in a lose
collection over 300 scenes
and incorporating over 170
charcters of “The last days
of mankind” by Karl Kraus. This play is set in Vienna
during World War I. The
piece strongly deals with
the manipulation of public
opinion by the media. The
project incorporates the
surrounding environment
turning it into a part
of the narrative. The
posters are put up at the original setting of the
story – bringing the play
back to the streets of
Vienna. In addition a typeface based on broken type was created.
